ADULT TREATMENT PROGRAMMING

The Consortium Addiction Treatment programs seek to provide individuals and their families with services that will support the individual’s path to recovery. The Consortium provides individualized treatment services, which are developed in collaboration with the individual seeking service to ensure a holistic approach to treatment. The Consortium offers an array of services which include individual and group counseling (IOP/OP), family and couples counseling, care coordination services, trauma focused therapy, 12 step education, employment assistance, peer support and medication assistance.

The Medication assisted treatment options include Methadone, Vivitrol (Naltrexone), and Buprenorphine. Medication assisted treatment options are available solely to those persons with a documented, current, or historical, dependence on any opiate based substance. All people seeking medication assistance must also meet the minimum age requirement of 18. Naltrexone, may also be prescribed to those with a documented alcohol use disorder. All treatment options have been proven to be highly recommended instruments to support change.

Referrals to the adult programs initiate from those seeking help and treatment, family and friends, as well as external agencies such as Probation and Parole, In-patient hospitals, other human service agencies, medication assisted treatment programs and/or providers, as well as the individual themselves.

Treatment staff are trained to provide evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (geared towards the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and client centered therapy.

The program offers on-site child care services, convenient hours, and is easily accessible to individuals seeking services. We are located in the heart of Philadelphia’s University City District at 451 South University Avenue.

ADOLESCENT TREATMENT PROGRAMMING

Willpower, Options, Resources and Direction (W.O.R.D.)

The WORD program is an Addictions treatment program designed to treat adolescents between the ages of 14-21, struggling with early addiction. The youth served may experience varying degrees of substance use and/or co-occurring mental health challenges.

Treatment includes an individualized assessment, individual and/or group therapy, family therapy, psychiatric evaluation, medication evaluation, care coordination and supportive collateral services. Group therapy is assigned following an assessment of needs, which also assists in determining either an Intensive or outpatient level of care.

Referrals to the Adolescent Addiction treatment program initiates from family and friends, as well as external agencies such as the Philadelphia Juvenile Justice system, in-patient hospitals and other human service agencies.

The Adolescent treatment program is conveniently located at 26 South 40th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Morning appointments can be scheduled in advance; however most services occur after school hours.
